UKUfest 2026 is an Estonian\u2013Ukrainian interdisciplinary cultural festival that brings contemporary Ukrainian culture to Estonian audiences through music, film, fashion, and performance. The festival is grounded in the belief that culture is not merely creative expression, but also a carrier of resilience, identity, and international solidarity.<\/p>\n
The central theme of the festival is \u201cUkrainian Fashion as Cultural Resilience<\/strong>\u201d, focusing on the role of creativity and design in situations where cultural continuity is under threat.<\/p>\n UKUfest explores how art helps preserve identity and make sense of experiences in times of crisis and war. The festival creates space for dialogue between different art forms and strengthens the visibility of Ukrainian culture in Europe.<\/p>\n The programme opens with the seminar \u201cArt as Resistance\u201d, which examines the role of art in resistance and the shaping of collective memory, bringing together creators from different fields.<\/p>\n At the heart of the festival is the Ukrainian fashion programme, which combines performance, exhibition, and installation. Irina Dzhus presents the performance \u201cANTICON\u201d in Tallinn, where DZHUS explores the body, identity, and survival.<\/p>\n The exhibition features BEVZA, BOBKOVA, VOZIANOV, KACHOROVSKA and DZHUS with the installation \u201cANTICON\u201d, complemented by a jewellery collection by Tetiana Chorna.<\/p>\n The music programme brings together Ukrainian and Estonian musicians, creating an emotional bridge between the two cultures.
